KIT vs PNP vs PRO.
Configuration options explained.

When you order a GAUTEN UAV platform, the configuration option describes how much of the aircraft arrives pre-built and pre-equipped — from a bare airframe kit up to a fully assembled platform with accessories installed.

The four configuration levels

GAUTEN UAV platforms are offered across four build levels. From most to least assembly work required on your side:

1. KIT — airframe only

A KIT is the airframe structure — frame, wings, tail and mounting hardware — without the electronics or propulsion. You source and install the motor or engine, ESC, flight controller, radio and battery yourself. This is the lowest-cost option and the most flexible, but it requires the most integration work. Choose KIT when you already have a preferred flight controller and propulsion stack, or when you want full control over every component.

2. PNP — propulsion pre-installed

PNP (Plug-and-Play) means the airframe arrives with the propulsion already installed — the motor or engine and its ESC — so the major mechanical work is done. You add the flight controller, radio and battery, then configure. GAUTEN UAV marks the propulsion type directly in the option name: PNP(M) for motor (electric) versions and PNP(E) for engine (gasoline) versions.

3. Power System — full propulsion package

A Power System configuration includes the airframe plus the complete propulsion package: engine or motor, ESC, propeller and — on engine versions — the fuel system. This is the right level when you want the propulsion fully specified and matched to the airframe, so you only integrate your flight controller, payload and radio.

4. PRO — assembled with accessories installed

PRO is the most complete configuration: the airframe assembled with the listed accessories pre-installed, closest to a ready-to-integrate platform. It minimises your assembly and integration time. The exact accessories vary by model, so each product page carries a specification table that lists precisely what is included at each level.

Which configuration should you order?

Note that the motor and engine versions of the same airframe exist as separate products — for example the SRV260 is offered in both a Motor version and an Engine version, and the SVH360 VTOL is offered in both a carbon-fiber engine version and a glass-fiber motor version. Pick the power source first, then the build level.

Frequently asked questions

What does KIT mean when buying a UAV?

KIT means the airframe kit — frame, wings and hardware — without electronics. You install the motor or engine, ESC, flight controller and radio yourself. It is the lowest-cost option and the most assembly work.

What does PNP mean in a drone?

PNP stands for Plug-and-Play. The airframe arrives with the propulsion already installed (motor or engine and ESC), so you add the flight controller, radio and battery. It saves assembly time versus a KIT.

What is a Power System configuration?

A Power System configuration includes the airframe plus the full propulsion package — engine or motor, ESC, propeller and, on engine versions, the fuel system.

What does PRO (Accessories installed) mean?

PRO is the most complete configuration, with the airframe assembled and listed accessories pre-installed. The exact accessories vary by model and are listed on each product page.
